The red pawn is in the background, the weaker chess piece, representing Bella's weakness as a human with red blood etc, etc.

The white (like a vampire..) queen ( Edward's queen in a way, a strong female etc) is in the foreground representing Bella as a vampire. It's the stronger chess piece and so represents her strength once she's been changed.



That's what I took it to mean anyway..hope it helped X

Victoria's power was that she could sense when it was time to escape that's why they say in Eclipse that she should have been there when they caught up with James. Not the best power if you ask me.

I have to theories about the cover mostly the same. First thing is we have to know the view, if we are looking from the Volturi in third person then I would say the queen would be Bella because the queen generally protects all in chess and Bella has her shield. The red pawn would simbolize the wolves in how even though the aren't supposed to on the same team the stand together or she's protecting them.

My seconde theory only changes the view, like if we are looking and from behind you see the pawn as a possible threat and the Queen is shielding them or protecting them.

Just my thoughts

I could already hear a car coming up the drive I assumed it to be Charlie coming for his regular visit. The door bell rang so I rushed down to get the door. But when I answered it it wasn't who I expected.

"Mom!" I gasped and hugged her. "What are you doing here?"

"Oh I just wanted to see how the newlyweds were doing?"she grinned.

Just then Edward came down the stairs with Renesmee in his arms and I tensed.

My mother looked over my shoulder to see what the problem was and froze on Renesmee, she could see the resemblance but she asked anyway. "Bella, who's this?"

I already knew there was no way of lying my way out of this so I quikly shouted "SURPISE YOU'RE A GRANDMOTHER!"

okay so idk if this is in the right section but it is a question.. okay so when charlie found out about them getting married he thought bella was pregnant. and then later when he finds out about renesmee do you think that he thinks that he has been lied to the whole time somehow?

Ok I have a question...maybe I just didnt get it or something but at the end, Does Bella show Edward her memories of when they first met, when they kissed and so on.... or does she think those memories and then Edward is able to hear them? I dont know why that part confused me but if someone could clear that up, that would be great

Okay... We know what Bella's power is as a vampire, she can protect herself and others around her with a shield if she stretches it. We also know that Edward could never know what she was thinking while Bells was human or her first part of being a vampire up until this scene. Bella figures out that anyone who is in her shield with her and harm her. Therefore she stretches her shield to include Edward and begins to think of all the times they had together since they met... Edward sees these and feels things as Bella did when they happened... Now, Edward realizes some things he didn't at the time they happened. Does this clear things up for you?

I thought it was pronounced Ruh-nez-may but spelt Renesmee that's what it says in the book page 327
