When Jace says "I'll just be your brother from now on" to Clary at the end of Ashes, does he mean it?

I think he means it. I really hope he doesn't though they love each other.
I know it's wrong but seriously they are crazy about each other.

i wish they weren't brother and sister because they are perfect for each other so that really sucks

well I also don't think that they are brother and sister (remember when the Inquisitor say no you can't be him and when clary says my mother would never call jace a monster and valentine say's I'm wasn't talking about...) but I think that as long as Jace believes that this is what Clary wants he will try to respect her wishes.

I think he really means it.. I mean, i think he will try hard to think of/accept her only as a sister 'coz that's wot clary wants (/wanted?).. I'm still hoping for a twist though, i'm so wanting them to be together..

Oh, of course he loves her. That didn't and won't change.

I don't think he meant it,not really anyway.I think he thought he had to mean it,because he had to live with the fact that Clary is his sister and they cannot be anything else.Deep down he doesn't mean and hes hurting bad because he wants to be with Clary and not as a brother.
He loves her,that much is obvious.

deep down, of course he doesn't mean it, but I think since he believes thats what Clary wants, he'll go along with it
