Hey!! All my friends who have read Twilight hate Jacob, and I'm pretty bad at expressing myself and exactly what I'm feeling in situations like this. So I know that before everything got erased there were some really good defenses of Jacob, and people explained why they liked him and stuff. Do you think you could come up with it again? Cause my best friend is really bugging me with what she thinks of him, and I've run out of things to say to her.

Jacob is a cool guy and really good friend. He helped Bella when she had a serious breakdown. Personally, I have nothing against Jacob. However, I am a member of Team Edward:)

Edward abandoned her! Jake was there for her and pulled her out of it, if not for him, there would be no 4th book! lol! Plus he's not always freezing cold like Edward. But I don't know I LOVE Edward too.

I recently decided that I was Switzerland I love Edward and Jacob just as much ... and really when you think about it, deep down inside Jacob is a sweet, caring guy.. nearly everything he does he has Bella on his mind and doing what he thinks is best for her.

When Bella realized that she loved Jacob...she also knew who she can't live without. So basically..Jacob makes their love much much stronger

I'm Team Edward too, but oh my God, how can you not love Jacob? I feel so bad for him! He definitely deserves Bella just as much as Edward does, if not more... Well, no, just just as much.

I mean, Edward LOVES HER. He LEFT HER to save her. It wasn't his fault that he made the wrong decision - he thought he was doing what was best for her. He didn't "abandon" her, he tried to keep her safe.

And Jacob! Edward wasn't there, so Bella went to someone, and that was Jacob. He fell in love with her, and that was that. She needed someone, and then he started to need her, too. They're adorable, but Edward is her everything. She could never be happy with him, even though she loves him too.

I adore Jacob Black SO MUCH. I hope SO MUCH MORE that he Imprints on someone so that Jake can stop being so unhappy. I hope he does, and Bella gets a fresh, healthy dose of jealousy. -_- She needs it. She can't have Jake!

I love Jacob too (see my screen name)! He is sixteen year old boy so it isn't fair to compare him to Edward. Edward has had ninety more years of experience in life and he won't make the same mistakes as Jacob. Jacob is SO sweet and caring! He will imprint on me...that is what will happen in Breaking Dawn.

Jake is Jake. if it weren't for him, Bella would be a zombie right now. he helped Bella back on the track and, whether Edward likes it or not, he owes a lot to Jake.

Seriously, Jacob is SIXTEEN YEARS OLD. Edward made the biggest mistake of his life at age like, 90-something! Jake will make mistakes! And besides, he really cares about Bella.

I really hate it when people say that he tried to "be Edward" for her in New Moon, which makes NO SENSE to me, because he knew he couldn't be Edward! She liked him because he was Jake, and it had nothing to do with Edward! *sigh*

Team Edward, but I love Jakey!

Jake is so hot--he was tehre for Bella when Edward wasn't! No human could care for Bella, except Jacob before he turned Werewolf. He saved her when she fell, sure Edward saved her from getting hit by the car--but are you sure that he wasn't thinking of eating her at the same time? Jacob has no longing for blood and he's extremely warm and HOT! i like edward too. )

I always bring up the "Ethics" chapter in Eclipse, when dear Jacob perfectly describes her love for both Edward and him.

For Bella, Edward "is like a drug"... I see him as dark, passionate, and their relationship as heavy and deep, and fueled by lust and passion and romance. I mean, I can hardly consider Edward and Bella friends! Don't get me wrong... Edward is AMAZING and brilliant and god-like, but he's so..serious. Their love is inhuman in its strength. And that seems like it'd be a good thing, but I for one feel like that would get really weighty just because i AM human. I would miss the laughter, the comradry that comes from loving a best friend.

Jacob IS her best friend. He is "the air, the sun." He is light, warm, natural; he is that laughter that is missing between Bella and Edward. He is a true friend to Bella, and is always there for her in his sweet, caring way. He has to try to WIN her love... Edward was so perfect that he automatically received it. Jacob makes mistakes, he's not the best romancer, but boy is he authentic! He is NOT perfect like Edward is. And to me, those imperfections are what make me love him most, because he fits into the picture of reality, of humanity. He's an amazing guy, Bella's soulmate, who's trying to win back what would be his in a normal world.

Wow, thanks guys. Bri, what you said is exactly how I feel, the whole thing about Jacob being human and me being human and stuff.

I know JUST what you mean! That's one thing that really bothers me about their relationship. There really just doesn't seem to be much general FUN.

HOWEVER: Between Twilight and New Moon, there was an entire summer. An entire summer of NO DANGER. They most likely had some normal, happy times that involved laughter. And in Twilight, they did kinda start as friends. They aren't friends the was Jake and Bella are though.

But Jake doesn't have what Edward has on Bella. Bella loves him, but she loves Edward more because Edward is her all-time soul mate, where Jake is her life-time soul mate. Not to say that once Jake dies Bella's off the hook or anything. -_-

But I get what you're saying. Bella and Edward aren't friends the way Jake and Bella are. I think that's actually pretty depressing. =[ Especially considering they're like, getting married in the next one.

I'm with team Jacob :] partially because everyone hates him the other part because he's truly amazing. BUT. I love Edward sullen, anything to do with him makes me melt.
