ok, let's talk about relationships Ian and Wanda's relationship reminded me of Jasper and Alice's, probably because i saw their connection deeper and more of an emotional/mental one. Ian immediately understands everything that Wanda needs/wants, and it doesn't need asking her what or why. compared to Mel and Jared's, the former's deeper and less physical than the latter's.

Well, for me.
I like the Ian & Wanda tandem. .
I must agree with your insights.

Moving on with Mel & Jared. .
Their love team is very brutal at the start. And I understand why. I can somehow remember some people(real ones.), I won't tell who. haha!

I like both of their relationships, because their natures kind of contrast.

Like, Ian and Wanda's is very intimate and personal, based more on feelings than physicality. It's sweet, and was built on friendship before it turned into something more.

Melanie and Jared's relationship has more fire and zest. The fact that for the majority of the book they're separated by Wanda's control of Melanie's body just adds to the passion, in a sense. Once Mel gets her body back, their connection is noted by Wanda as being physical to the extreme.
Not to say that their feelings for each other aren't real, but I think that their relationship was built on the foundation that they were the first other humans they found (except of course Jamie) after the souls took over, so to a degree I think their bodies were responding to new human contact.

I, myself, prefer the Wanda and Ian tandem.

I think Mel and Jared's relationship is more physical to us is because of how they met. They met in less then suitable circumstances and fell in love. I mean when Jared first saw Melanie he kissed her so yeah that would shock anyone. With Ian and Wanda they had stuff to sort out and get through. They had time to develop a love, a love thats more emotional at first. Ian didnt want to disrespect anyone in that body and he wouldve left it at that. I think though, that as readers we only see one side of both of these relationships so we dont know how physical or how emotional they are. I love how they all love each other even though this huge thing happened to them all.

i definetely see wanda/ian as a jasper/alice and even a carlisle/esme mix. they've got the care and the deep connection.

and then jared/mel, to me, are a rosalie/emmett and edward/bella mix. they've got the heat from rosalie and emmett and the romance from edward and bella.

i'm a jared/mel fan, personally. i was happier to see their happy ending than ian/wanda's.

I prefer the Jared/Mel tandem (but I like Ian/wanda too) because it sort of reminds me of Bella/Edward.
When Jared said this line:

" if i was given the choice between having the world back and having you, I wouldnt be able to give you up.Not to save five billion lives."

That line is so Edward and Bella.

that's why i'm a proud team jared member.

jared/mel is more bella/edward. to me, at least.

I prefer Ian/Wanda tandem because I was deeply touched by their her patience and his understanding of the situation.

I was completely irritated with Mel's frustration with Wanda in regards to touching Jared especially since neither of them never had a choice. Also I was just turned away from Jared at how cruel he was and selfish. Mel/Jared seem so stuck in their ways.

Which made me in turn become an Ian/Wanda shipper because they weren't stubborn and inflexable they were always so understanding. (disregarding Ian at first glance) ;] He's only human.

It's a hard choice. I can see boths sides.
But there is a special place in my heart for Ian and Wanda. I love how Ian can see Wando for much more than a small silever worm like creature.

And THAT is why I believe in the worst pairing ever, because it would be SO dysfunctional, and neither one of them would be really HAPPY, but it would be SUCH a fire for the reader: Jared/Wanda. *sigh* I am a sad, sad fangirl.

Thank God Stephenie didn't go that route, because seriously, it would never work. Not with Mel there. But they would be so perfectly forbidden that it would make everything so unbelievably exciting.

Of the canon pairings: IAN/WANDA! They're adorable, and Melanie and Jared both make me reeeally angry sometimes. So YAY! TEAM O'SHEA!

I'm totally for Jared and Mel more than Ian and Wanda. Jared and Mel reminded me of Edward and Bella too. I don't mind Ian and Wanda but I was way more into the Jared and Mel side of things.

But I nearly peed myself when Ian says to Wanda about holding her in his hands, "You were so beautiful". That just made me laugh so hard. On account of the whole worm thing.

i love ian and wanda. for some reason jared and mel just is ... hmm. idk the word for it. sorry. =p
