PC & Kristin Cast - House of Night Series

Marked, Betrayl, and Chosen

I got this book as a birthday present and since then I have bought the other books in the series. So far there is Marked, Betrayl, and Chosen. I love Marked. I think that it is a new take on Vamps co-existing with humans. The main character is relatable. I also like how this is a mother/daughter duo who co-wrote the books together.

I read the first one and though I do appreciate the new take on vampirism I wasn't impressed with the writing. Like I said, the concept was cool, but the end product fell flat in my opinion.

I guess I know what you mean cause I finished the book in no time and then after reading Harry Potter, LOTR, CON, and Twilight series every other book doesn't have that aura.

I have read all three of the books. I got them as presents after reading Twilight and I liked them but they aren't quite the same. It is an interesting story, but not as good as other vampire books. I agree that they aren't as well written. Having said that...I am going to keep reading the other ones that are going to come out...I think there are going to be 6? I'm not sure, but I do want to know what happens next!

Blondes may have more fun, but Edward prefer Brunettes<333

I honestly got into reading again because of the House of Night series. I randomly picked up the first two at a borders and read them both in one night.. A LONG night heh.. I hadnt read anything in so long that I really did love them..

I went to barnes and noble a week later looking for the third one and I picked up Twilight in paperback and thats when my twilight obsession started.

I honestly like the books and I cant wait till the next one comes out later this year.

oo oo oo!
i like these books, but i prefer the take that stephenie takes on vampires. id rather vampires be a mystery to humans and that they not know about them.
-->i do like these books though. i even recommend them.

Yeah I mean I like them but still it just can't compare with Twilight. But they are still good and I like the concept.

I am actually reading Marked. I find it interesting but like you said, it doesn't have that aura... I liked the idea of vampires co-existing with humans. I am at the middle of the book and I haven't read it all yet because I have no time. But I certainly buy the other ones, just for cuirosity.

yeah the next one is called Untamed I believe.. according to amazon.com anyhow.. so I will for sure pick it up. I mean I do not really own a lot of books to be honest. I used to be a library nerd heh. but I am so thankful to this series because it got me into reading again, and like I said previously, it brought me to Twilight. I wish there was a bigger fan base for The House of Night though, because its really not that bad.

though nowhere NEAR as amazing as the twilight series, i really like the house of night series. the only complaint i have is that there's a lot of teen slang, and that chosen kept recapping betrayed which kept recapping marked. that got a little redundant, and a lot of annoying. other than that, i enjoyed them.
