The Host took me about three days to read, and that was because I HAD to put it down. I also tried to hold it out so I wouldn't be bookless.

But yeah, the whole Bella and Wanda/Mel are so alike thing. One thing about SM that bugs me is that all her main female characters are so self-sacrificing. I mean, at least for Wanda it makes sense because that's how the souls are, but Bella just gets annoying with her 'I am face to face with death by vampire, and I really hope no one saves me because they'd be in danger.' It's just not natural, in a bad way. XP

Yeah. Bella's cool, overall, and she's really lucky. (I'm jealous -_-) But really, it's not real. NO ONE would be THAT self-sacrificing.

So am i the only one who was bawling when she finished the book...well before that of course...but yeah. lol I LOVED it..it was pretty much Amazing.
I love the scenes between Ian and Wanda...and when Mel is fighting w/ Wanda in her head bout Ian...its pretty funny. lol i find it highly amusing. specially how Wanda is SO not violent, but Mel is...and she has to censor Mels words to Ian. lol
oh and i like it when Mel punches Jared, and bites his lip. haha. cracked me up.
but i basically LOVE the romance scenes..ive read them SOOO many times. lol im such a romantic freak. lol
Love,
Jaz

The ending was EXACTLY my perfect ending for it!! I was sitting there reading thinking, "Oh my gosh, I hope Mel and Wanda can get separated and Wanda get put in a new body so her and Ian can get together and Mel and Jared can get together and Wanda and Mel can be besties" and it happened! SQUEE! I was SO happy...

I was hoping that too!
Towards the end, when wanda was talking about being taken out of Mel and being killed, i was like 'why dont you just get put into another body?' and then she did and i was soo happy! And i love the fact that Jared got Mel and Ian got Wanda in the end and they could all be friends and happy. :]]

I liked the book, don't get me wrong. I just think the ending would have been so much more powerful if they had given wanda her final wish and let her die and be buried with her friends.

I don't know, i just think by saving her it took away from what was suppost to be a great sacrifice for her friends.

besides, why do all books have to have a happy ending?

Yea.. I was already expecting a sad ending when I was reading towards the end. It's not like wanda told them to put her in the body. They just went and did it without even asking.

But besides that.
I LOVE the Book =] I most deff. cried towards the end (of course then it got happy again) my mom was like why are you crying? the book was emotional okay geez.. lol

I think one of my favorite parts is when Ian holds wanda in his hands. They don't go into detail about that but he was just like "I held you in my hands, and you were beautiful" I was like awww.. I love IAN.

I was really surprised by how much kyle changed like basically falling in love with a host. WOW.

I hope she does another I love to hear about Burns and the other survives, and possibly about Kyle's GF and her life.

The Host is so excellent and enticing that I couldn't put it down. I just loved reading it so much that I don't know how I can put it in words.

I loved how love gave hope to Earth. How love is so strong that it can conquer anything. The theme is timeless, and it changes perspectives.

I'm so horrible in nutshells, and if I wrote my whole thought about the book, I'd have a book by then...lol

PS, I'm Team Ian all the way.
I wish there WERE leeches on my speed dial...

I loved it. I absoloutely LOVED it. As much as I love Twilight :) I just went out and bought it, because I was sure that since it was by Stephanie Meyer, it would be good. It didnt really get interesting though until Wanda decided to go looking for Jared and Jamie- thats when I got hooked. I couldnt put it down, despite how much my mom yelled at me to go to sleep. It was amazing. And I loved Ian so much, and I love Ian and Wanda together. Whenever they kissed, my heart was like, seriously thumping and it was just such an amazing feeling. I like Jared, but with Melanie, so I was happy he didnt end up with Wanda. He was off-limits from the beginning, if you think about it. When there was hints of the fact that Ian liked Wanda, I just knew that they would be perfect together. I loved his confession - it was so , just so, amazing and cute ! And at the end, when Wanda was giving up Mels body and had the whole confrontation with Ian and Wanda realized she loved Ian too and then how Jared 'lied' and told her he loved her and then the blank pages - I was sobbing. I cried, and alot. I didnt wanna read ahead so I put the book down for a few minutes and had a sob session. Then I read it and I was overjoyed at how it turned out - I was realy glad that they put Wanda in another body, because she can be with Ian now and everyone and I just loveedddd it. SQUEEEEE. So now, Im in love with both Edward and Ian. Sigh. Another amazing book by Stephanie Meyer, and im all for a sequel and, of course, a trilogy.

i srsli need to start reading the book again!
I've only read it once, because I didn't have time to read it the second time.. or mayb i did start reading it the second time, but I didn't have enough time to finish it :(

anyway,
the book is very emotional.. it made me cry, yes, this book made me cry. i was very surprised because i didn't really cry in Twilight/New Moon/Eclipse.
I LOVE IAN! and I love the way SM described the relationship between him and Wanda. It's sooo romantic.
