I'm seeing a bunch of threads in the misc. section like "who lives in wherever", and I was thinking there could be a section for those threads, and maybe threads for people to talk Twilight in they're own language.

I actually love this idea! A lot of the region threads get burried, because people don't see them - so having a seperate category for them would be nice.

Although there is ONE problem I have with it, and that is if members start putting the town/city they live in, and organize get togethers. There would have to be a lot of watch for that...

I wanted to suggest that too... I know that mostly, in other forums where I´ve been, there are special sections for non-english chat. It would be nice to see how many other people from your own country have found Twilight, specially in small countries, like my own.
I see that this thread is a few months old already, is there going to be this kind of corner somewhere, or have you already created it and I´m just blind?

I'm all for this idea aswell. I see alot of Canadians on here, but no one ever has a seperate chatting group for them.

It would increase the risk of cyberstalking though, so I think we shouldn't go into states and all that. (Actually, maybe states, but for Canadians, provinces is just way too narrow) Alot of people may not want to do this. I also think it should be monitored a little more heavily so that there are no accidents, even if someone doesn't mean to, by slipping out there information. A.K.A. My hockey team the vancouver bulldogs just won the championship!

We have talked this over, and have decided that we are not going to make a regional section. The main problem we have for this is that:

This is a teen site. yes, we understand that you do want to know people in your area but for privacy matters we dont want any get togethers, outside of public events, to happen. This is still the internet and the person your talking to can be completely different than they seem to be. (i.e. a 16 year old, could really be some 30 year old perv.) We do not want there to be any problems like that to occur.

Hopefully that is a well enough answer for you all.

But what about non-english chat section? For ppl who live in other countries? If they all live in different corners of the country then there should be no need nor will to organize a get together. I´ll give you an example: I live in Estonia, there are very few fans here (I personally know only one), if there are about 5 in this forum, then it´s already amazing. There are no estonian sites about Twilight. I would really really want to know how many ppl have acctually read it (and found their way here) and loved it, and perhaps somebody has any inside info, when exactly the fourth book arrives here, when the movie comes out, is the translation as good as the original book etc etc... Or just discuss everything Twilight in our own language.
I know it will be difficult/impossible for moderators to control these kind of threads, because they can´t understand a thing we´re saying, but I think that if there are any problems, then we can let them know about it (if necessary). Please consider creating this section.
