Twilight Birthday Party

Postby BiteMe on Sun May 11, 2008 6:49 pm

So, i'm planning a Twilight b-day party for my 19th birthday on June 7th. I'm looking for ideas of how to decorate, etc. I'm also looking for a nice cute t-shirt that is dressy enough for the evening, but I don't want the typical Team Edward shirt. I was thinking about designing my own shirt, but I might find something better online.

Any help? Please?

How about basing your party around the party Alice organized for Bella's birthday? (Minus the murderous vampires bit!) And you could create a t-shirt saying something about how you wished it wasn't your birthday or some kind of NM birthday quote?

Not a great suggestion, but hey, it's late and I'm tired, sorry! x

My birthday is june 7th! =D
I wanted a Twilight party, but, I want to wait until I have more friends in the area...

But I agree with Vicxyx, thats a good idea. Or for color themes, maybe red and white to match the book covers. And have food themed around stuff in the book. And your Twilight book could be a table centerpiece. :P and bowls of apples, decorate with ribbon instead of streamer, maybe find red and white flowers.

Random idea, you could have it themed around the Bella Italia restaurant and serve mushroom ravioli and coke.

I had a Twilight birthday in Febuary!! I did serve mushroom ravioli (they sell it in bulk at BJ's). Also, like in NM, I decorated my entire house with pink flowers, streamers, candles, and crystal bowls. I made a pink cake with pink icing roses, then I broke a clear plate and drizzeled some red icing on it like Bella blood (it was very real looking). My guests watched some vampire movies and then Romeo and Juliete (with Olivia Hussey). I wore a shirt that said "Edward Cullen My Fictional Boyfriend" (the fictional part had a line through it) and I played it up with a black skirt and heels. I'll get some pictures up later if that helps... i'm a little sleepy now.

You could always try http://www.cafepress.com/buy/twilight/-/x_17/source_searchBox/y_13 for a shirt- some are a little nicer and really cute!

I should've mentioned that my party will be at a bowling alley, so I can't go to crazy on the decorations, hehe.

I went decoration shopping yesterday. The colors will be red and black, and I will be making a movie poster cake. Maybe I can get a red velvet cake...

Anyway, i'm still not sure what to put on my shirt. I don't want anything too Edward, because my bf won't like that, hehe

Ah..Yes, thats a bit harder then. All you can do really is a color scheme and the cake probably.

If you could think of a good T-shirt design, maybe if any others coming are Twilight fans, make a T-shirt for people to take home.

If you want to avoid too much Edward, like you said, maybe do something nice and simple, maybe in the front it can just say "Twilight" and a quote on the back, or something.

Yeah I agree... a simple Twilight tee with a quote would be the best...heels are kinda out of the question. It would be neat to give out some sort of party favor... like bookmarks you made along with tee shirts for other fans like Rozita said.
My mom went to a Twilight Moms lunch once and one mom brought magnets that she made. Everyone loved them! I don't think that it would be too hard to replicate them.
Too bad they don't make Twilight plates and cups (yet) at places like Party City.

Ohhhh... if you get red velvet cake, make sure that your shirt isn't white!!

I actually decided to have a Twilight party even though I said i was gonna wait...My mom convinced me. xD

She came up with a really good idea to make "Bloody cocktails"
and we're going to use pomegranite juice. She also had the idea to get white christmas lights, and get fake flowers, and when you pop them off the plastic stems, they have holes in them. So you can put them over some of the lights.

For food so far We've got Mushroom ravioli and lasagna...The cake, I'm not sure what flavor yet, so far we're thinking dark chocolate or black frosting and make like little edible apples to decorate the top.

I'm not having my party till the 21st, so I don't know if you have much time left but I still wanted to share some ideas if you still needed any.

I'm having a hard time thinking of food ideas, but there are a lot of referances to italian food. So that might work.
