Animal Thoughts

Is Edward able to 'hear' animal's thoughts? Like deer? I know he can 'hear' the werewolves, but is that just becuase they are really humans?

No, I don't think he can - because animals don't 'think' the way we do. They got by instinct, not by logic.
Plus, animals don't 'think' english either. If he met someone who spoke a language he didn't understand - he wouldn't be able to understand what they are thinking. Same sort of deal!

I agree with EVERYTHING Phieline (sorreh if i got the name wrong...) said
except the language thing... In one of the books, Bella wants Edward to be mad at her, and she tells him to cuss her out in EVERY language he knows... and to yell at her and such...
I think earlier on in one of the books (i may be mistaken) he tells her he knows all of the languages that you can know...

I think he can, but that he just blocks it out like he does to many humans because the animals thought's are unoriginal. I mean, really, who wants to hear, "Eat. Sleep. Predator! Eat. . . . Sleep."?
