Twilight because it has more romance and that is wat i like in a book. I also like a book i can cry over because im so attached. Harry Potter is kinda only about friendship, and that is a good thing about growing up, but i just want it to go to the next level and it just doesnt own up to that level for me like Twilight does.

That's a hard one... HP has way more adrenaline, and action, there are some funny dialogs and a bit of romance (well, worth reading only in the last two books).
But in Twilight you have this perfect vampire, and a normal girl just like anybody else, that's what makes their relationship so interesting. There is much more romance and stuff like that.
I don't know why they compare the series so much, they're not similar at all! Perhaps because of the huge succes, and that both writers are women, I don't know. But the stories themselves don't look alike at all.

i have no idea...

i love HP for the magic and the way even the most simple day to day tasks such as shpping for school equipment is made magical

But Twilight is just so romantic and the realness makes you feel like you could be walking oast a vampire or 'shape shifter' at any point now
I am switzerland. I refuse to be affected by territorial disputes between mythical creatures.

^ Yeah, it's crazy how Twilight feels so real even though it's fantasy. She really makes you feel like vampires could exist and also that you are apart of it.

Personal Opinion

I love both series! I think they are "competing" for the following reasons:
ONE. They both have INCREDIBLE fan response TWO. there was the small fact that Eclipse bumped HP7 off of the number one spot on the bestsellers list last summer (the final two about the film) THREE. Gorgeous Robert Pattinson has been in both series (meaning the films. yeah not quite sure how that may lead to competition I think I just wanted a chance to state how cute I think he is :wink: ). FOUR. Both films were being released within weeks of eachother (Harry Potter 6 and Twilight. Not anymore though, :cry: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince wont be released until next July!!!)

Anyways those are my theories about the whole wizards vs. vampires thing. What i dont understand is many people are fans of both, so why this whole big competition thing?! hmm i guess we may never know...
Still looking for my dazzling, volvo driving, beautiful vampire to read my mind and realize that i am what he is looking for.

I was a member of Harry Potter forums as well. :) Never really stuck to one though and never spent that much time on them really though.

But yes, i reckon i am more obsessed with Twilight. I don't know. I think so anyway.

I refuse to bring together Twilight and Harry Potter. Because there's the HP me, and Twilight Saga me, and bringing them together is . . . difficult.

However . . .

Harry Potter has been a part of me for a really long time ... my love for it is... extroardinary. I've been known for fashioning my own wand and playing duels with my equally obsessed friend..

I've only known Twilight for two months. And it binds me just as strongly as Harry Potter binds me... therefore, both are lasting loves, and I feel enormously guilty liking one over another.

Switzerland, anyone?

Dude i was addicted to h.p. before i read twilight and now i'm like ,"ok harry potter is good but honstly twilight is jus like OMFG sooo much better!" but i still LOVE harry potter but twilight like blew my mind!!! and harry potter is jus fun adventure
