I agree that Alec will be in Breaking Dawn. Stephenie said that she was going to reveal his power in the last book. As for what his power will be, i honestly dont know. Obviously its something super important and more powerful than Jane's.

I have heard somewhere, and I may be wrong, so don't quote me on this, that SM said that Alec's power would be something to do with battle. Like fighting people. That's why they keep him on the guard.
