Well I personally loved Breaking Dawn. Everything that I wanted to happen did: the marriage, the honeymoon, Jacob imprinting, Bella becoming a vampire, no heart-breaking deaths, Charlie staying in Bella's life, Volturi confrontation. And Renesmee was a a very nice surprise, as well. The only thing that could've made this book better was a little more Edward & Bella moments. I think that Renesmee took away from some of the romance scenes that could've taken place, but I'm cool with it. But, yeah. No disappointment here!

My mom went on a rant about how vampires can't get anyone pregnant. Long story on that ranting. But anywho. Like I said to my mom, the female vampires can't get pregnant due to the never aging thing. And in order to give birth it involves aging 9 months for the baby to grow and develop. But male vampires apparently, as shown with Edward, can cause human females to be pregnant. Apparently the male vampires are still giving off sperm but because it's almost always with a female vampire the sperm is never obvious because it's a female vampire, and they can't age so pregnancy isn't an option.
Long rambling, but there's your answer lol.

well thanks, but it is really confusing... i just figured that since they don't age either, don't males also need to change in order to be able to reproduce? but i guess i'll be able to wrap my head around it, but thanks alot, it helps clarify..... :D

Yeahh me and my mom are still bound to argue over that fact. ;]

me and my friends still discuss over it, we still think that males body's need to age and change to produce sperm too, but maybe there is something that SM isn't telling, whatever the thing is, i'm still pretty happy with rensemee, their cute little accident....

Hey... well im with those people who liked the book but not completely loved it...
I'm reading it for the 4 time and i loving it.

BUT the first time i freaked out about Reneesme, and now she's cute and she loves her parents and all and i kind of like her.

I've got everything i wanted. Like Bella staying with Edward forever as a vampire and they getting married.
But am i the only one who thought or got annoyed that there was not Bella/Edward love? I don't know but Edward, after the baby is like background to Renesmee being a totally TEAM EDWARD FAN that killed me!!!
I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAVE MORE DADDY/DAUGHTER MOMENTS!
But it was all about Renesmee in Bella's mind... yeah it was Edward too but he wasn't really there if you know what i mean...
Alice leaving it hurt so much and i cried, because someone told me she wasn't going to come back so i was unprepared for that one. (but i totally knew that she didn't go to leave her family alone, i knew it had to be something else)
And Breaking Dawn it's just SO much different from the other three i really was hoping it would be my favorite, but no, my favorite it's still Twilight.

I don't remember where i read this, but i agree with this opinion.
I think those who loved the book could still see the great story,
but did not notice the loss of depth of the characters and their interaction.
Those who hate the book notice the loss but not the story that was meant to be there all along.
She came to understand that any world without him couldn't possibly be her world

Go team Edward!

^I agree Edward was there but not totally there. When Renesmee came Edward kind of fell into the background a bit. I would have loved more Edward and Renesmee moments though.

I'm pretty sure she's keeping something from us, but what matters? Lol.
I wish me and my friends could discuss it. I can only get ahold of one friend who reads the series, and she doesn't really obsess over it like we all do lol.
Maybe there really is an Edward for me.

I'm a member of the 'I LOVE IT' team (lol)

Some people are forgetting that it's fantasy.

People are also forgetting the actual vampire myth of the Succumbi (Succumbus)

''According to the Malleus Maleficarum, or "Witches' Hammer", published by the Catholic Church in 1487, Succubi would collect semen from the men they slept with, which incubi would then use to impregnate women,[3] thus explaining how demons could apparently sire children in spite of the traditional belief that demons were incapable of reproduction through generative or gestative means''

Vampires are concidered demons so this can apply to them aswell. Stephenie has just altered the myth so it can play better in the story.

Lol well now that I've gotten my "brother" to finish reading the book I'm not totally alone with it anymore. Thank god! Lol. It works great since we live together, I can just bug him whenever. =D

She defiantly has altered the myth lol. But it plays so much better in the story now, and who is truly complaining? Rensemee is a wonderfully amazing addition to the story. :D

Some people who didn't like BD told me that they thought it was too much of a fanfiction. That it was too happy in the end. But what I would say is that, didn't Bella and the Cullens go through enough? Would you have wanted one or a couple of them to die?

Because really though, New Moon is depressing enough as it is. And didn't SM promise us that it would be a happy ending? Didn't you all want that before?

Although I liked the over-all story of BD, I would have to say that it's not as well written as the previous books. There are parts that aren't clear and stuff.

Oh yeah. And some people don't understand why Nessie has to come in the picture. Think the story over and you'll realize that the whole book revolves around Nessie.

What are you talking about? sure the whole book was about nessie, that was the problem. nessie didnt make the series. It couldve been great with out her, the whole book didnt rely on her existance. Say nessie ended up being just like all the other vampire babies and started wreaking havioc throught all of forks. or if nessie never happened, they could've had it that bella hadnt become a vampire in time and alice hadnt seen the volturi comming. or say there was trouble in volterra, maybe marcus revolted against aro for some reason, and more sided with marcus than aro (caius wouldnt be doing much cause hes way to indifferent) and aro and the volturi requested the help of their other vampire friends and the cullens were called in on aro or marcus' behalf. these would've been great for BD, yea i know that there not all too great altrenatives but im not as imaginative as SM, but this is what i came up with off the top of my head. they dont circle around nessies existance, she was never vital to the series

Because the book would have been so much better if Nessie did happen to be a monster and cause a whole bunch of pain for Bella and the Cullens. That would have been great...

Except that Nessie kind of was vital to the series, in a way. It's not like SM decided this a few minutes before she started writing the book. She created Nessie's character way back before Twilight was even published.

Aw, how can you hate Nessie? She's so cute!
And there was no fight scene, because SM said that she knew if there was a fight scene, people on our side would have died, and I don't know about you, but I didn't want to lost any of them.

But Bella becoming a vamp was bittersweet for me, so I know what you're talking about.
