But still, I understand how it can be confusing. My mom went on a rant about how vampires can't get anyone pregnant. Long story on that ranting. But anywho. Like I said to my mom, the female vampires can't get pregnant due to the never aging thing. And in order to give birth it involves aging 9 months for the baby to grow and develop. But male vampires apparently, as shown with Edward, can cause human females to be pregnant. Apparently the male vampires are still giving off sperm but because it's almost always with a female vampire the sperm is never obvious because it's a female vampire, and they can't age so pregnancy isn't an option.
Long rambling, but there's your answer lol.
well thanks, but it is really confusing... i just figured that since they don't age either, don't males also need to change in order to be able to reproduce? but i guess i'll be able to wrap my head around it, but thanks alot, it helps clarify.....
Yeahh me and my mom are still bound to argue over that fact. ;]

I'm pretty sure she's keeping something from us, but what matters? Lol.
I wish me and my friends could discuss it. I can only get ahold of one friend who reads the series, and she doesn't really obsess over it like we all do lol.

ha, well, i have a huge group of friends who read it, but then there are a few who are still reading the rest of the series, and it kills me to not be able to ask them about these things!!! hahaha, but honestly, pm me if u are in desperate need to discuss, I've read the book three times already,

Some people are forgetting that it's fantasy.
People are also forgetting the actual vampire myth of the Succumbi (Succumbus)
''According to the Malleus Maleficarum, or "Witches' Hammer", published by the Catholic Church in 1487, Succubi would collect semen from the men they slept with, which incubi would then use to impregnate women,[3] thus explaining how demons could apparently sire children in spite of the traditional belief that demons were incapable of reproduction through generative or gestative means''
Vampires are concidered demons so this can apply to them aswell. Stephenie has just altered the myth so it can play better in the story.

Because really though, New Moon is depressing enough as it is. And didn't SM promise us that it would be a happy ending? Didn't you all want that before?
Although I liked the over-all story of BD, I would have to say that it's not as well written as the previous books. There are parts that aren't clear and stuff.
Oh yeah. And some people don't understand why Nessie has to come in the picture. Think the story over and you'll realize that the whole book revolves around Nessie.

It couldve been great with out her, the whole book didnt rely on her existance. Say nessie ended up being just like all the other vampire babies and started wreaking havioc throught all of forks. or if nessie never happened, they could've had it that bella hadnt become a vampire in time and alice hadnt seen the volturi comming. or say there was trouble in volterra, maybe marcus revolted against aro for some reason, and more sided with marcus than aro (caius wouldnt be doing much cause hes way to indifferent) and aro and the volturi requested the help of their other vampire friends and the cullens were called in on aro or marcus' behalf. these would've been great for BD, yea i know that there not all too great altrenatives but im not as imaginative as SM, but this is what i came up with off the top of my head. they dont circle around nessies existance, she was never vital to the series
