That's how I always thought how to pronounce it. But what about Esme? Es-me or Es-may?

Es-May I think and Siobhan is pronounced Shi-vawn ( just in case anyone wasnt sure).

Yeah don't worry if you didn't know its is an irish name. A lot of people mispronounce it. The phonetic pronunciation is shuh-VAWN.

Ok so I've been wondering about this, but I'm not sure if its been answered...

How come Caius doesn't have a special power? Or, to put it more accurately, why is he in the Volturi if he doesn't have a power? Is it just because he's an ancient vampire?

And here's one more question which I'm pretty sure is explained and I just don't get it: why do the "Ancients" in the Volturi have the filmy eyes and fragile-looking skin? I think the Romanians were discussing it, but I never really understood....

I think it's because he has been with Marcus and Aro before. I'm not really sure about that.

As for their filmy eyes an papery skin, its because they woud sit still longer than humans would, and Stephenie said that she imagined the dust falling on their skin and settling there...

Here's a question: At Isle Esme when Edward bit the pillow, don't you think (being a vamp and all) he'd be way more likely to bite Bella? I mean, if he had to bite something, I would imagine he'd go for the delicious girl over the pillow. Pillows don't taste that good...

I don't think that Edward bit the pillow without thinking about it; I would assume that he was concentrating very hard on not harming Bella, and so he bit the pillow as a way to keep himself from biting her, know what I mean?

and the quen chess piece was bella.

OR it coul have been edward as th red pawn, and bella still the queen chess piece perhaps????

Actually, I believe that Stephenie said that the red pawn is human Bella, because the pawn is the weakest piece on the board, and red could symbolize blood. The white queen represents vampire Bella because it is the strongest chess piece. And also, I think that Stephenie said that the chess board could also symbolize the strategic "fight" the Cullens had with the Volturi--each side had to carefully plan each move.

With Edward biting pillows...

we all know that he basically loves Bella and would kill himself before he would harm her as human... and that he pretty well conditioned himself not to bite Bella, even at the most tempting times...

I actually thought this was Bella's power I mean because the Cullens told her she wouldn't be able to control herself during the first year and they'll do the best they can to help her and Jasper is always watching her because he believes it's not normal. I never thought she could be a shield.
