so im rereading breaking dawn and had the movie thought in mind.. and if it were to ever become a movie, when bella turns into a vampire and looks at edward the first time and shes all:
I had never seen it before this second.
How many times had I stared at Edward and marveled over his beauty? How many hours-days, weeks-of my life had I spend dreaming about what I then deemed to be perfection? I thought I'd known his face better than my own. I'd thought this was the one sure physical thing in my whole world: the flawlessness of Edward's face.
I may as well have been blind.

how are they going to make edward look even MORE beautiful?!!?

Well, I'm sure that'd really annoy a lot of the movie fans.

But you also have to consider, they aren't 100% sure they are going to do more than just Twilight.

And although I am a HUGE fan of Breaking Dawn, really, really liked it, I am not all that interested in seeing it as a movie. I really don't think they'd be able to capture it right... Just a feeling.

And the R rating is probably really influenced by the gore of the birth scene. And they would probably intensify some other spots.

People, the actors/actresses have been signed on to do Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse. The only thing standing in the way is contracts and Summit waiting for the box office standings and gross income with Twilight (I know a ton of movie industry terms).

As for the rating, I really don't care. Any movie lately that a battle scene with fighting and stuff hasn't shed ANY blood, so it would deff. be rated R because nothing else has the guts to show some blood.

But just because the actors are all on board doesn't mean it will happen. I'm not saying that it wont, but I bet it's not quite a sure thing as it was before Breaking Dawn. There's still room for other possibilities.

Haha, that has a simple answer.

They won't.
:)

The movie is not in Bella's perspective, it's third person and we are just looking on. Edward shouldn't have changed to us, only Bella will.

Yeah, it's not sure sure.

There is most likely a clause in there that says Summit can decide to not do more movies if XXXX happens and vice versa.

Plus, BD isn't in any contracts so...

EDIT: But they won't not do the other 3 movies just because they don't feel like making Breaking Dawn.

If Twilight does well they will probably still go along with the other three but they will find a different way to tie off Eclipse with a bow.

I would be happy either way, as long as Twilight is well made and then it would be great if they went on to do New Moon and Eclipse.

Breaking Dawn as a movie doesn't bother me as it would be a long time from now and they could easily tie off Eclipse with the wedding scene and then leave it as a happily ever after for people who just watch the film. We know how Stephenie wanted it to end in the book and how the film is approached is just circumstancial and a bonus.

Anyway theres nothing we can really do tbf.

No one honestly knows what's really going to happen. I read somewhere that they'll do each movie every 2 years if the tickets sell well. So twilight is 2008, New Moon is 2010, Eclipse is 2012, and BD would be 2014. That's 6 years away. So this may, or may not happen. I'm more than happy for twilight, it wouldn't bother me at all if they didn't make BD.
It all depends though. It's not fact or certain, it's maybe.
I just don't see BD as a movie, sorry.

I don't really see BD as a movie...I mean I love the book but when I just can't see how they could make it in to a movie. I don't object to the idea I just can't really picture it. Yeah I think for now the Twilight movie is all we need to think about and shouldn't really worry about BD being put on the big screen. I think it could be a good movie but it would be somewhat difficult to make.

Well, let's see. I don't think that Breaking Dawn would have to be rated R. I think that it would be pretty easy to make the birth scene a little less gruesome and to keep the sex scenes mild. But I for one would really love to see all the Twilight books be made into movies. I know that they most likely wouldn't do the books justice, but for me its always fun to watch movie adaptations. But, yeah. The only problem with Breaking Dawn as a movie would be Renesmee. Though it is possible. Like, what if they had three actresses for Renesmee: a baby for when she's born, then a young toddler for when Bella first sees her, and then a four-year-old or something. If they just showed that time passed between toddler Renesmee and child Renesmee it could work. But if they don't get Renesmee's age and stuff perfect in the movie if they do make one, then I wouldn't be too disappointed.

I don't understand this. Producers try to focus on being as close to the book when they make movies, right?? Well then why would they put MORE into the movie than there is in the book?? In the book its like they start to "do something" but then it STOPS. We all already know what is happening right?? So there is no need to go any farther. So why cant they, for once, please, just try to follow the storyline of the actual book?? :?

im honestly surprised that everyone is so shocked that it would be rated R. you all read the gory birth scenes? and the sex scenes? BUT before i get flamed....

i work in a video rental store and i've seen a LOT of pretty racy, violent, action packed PG13 movies..... Live Free Die Hard, Never Back Down, Other Boleyn Girl, The Dark Knight, list goes on and on and on.

Nowadays, the movie industry and the people who rate movies and games is SERIOUSLY stretching the PG13 content to its limit and even crossing a few toes over the line.... if you take a look at a PG13 movie about 5 years ago and look at its PG13 content, and compare it to a PG13 movie NOW... you'd be surprised just how far that limit has been stretched.

We live in different times nowadays, our generation knows more explicit content than a lot others did at their age....

Breaking Dawn I'm sure could fit into the PG13 limit if they cut out some unnecessary gory stuff from the birth scene i.e. her spine breaking and showing edward actually cutting thru her stomach and then the placenta lol, they can like pan the camera over to jacob or something.... that would rid lots of the gore right there. and a lot of those sex scenes between bella and edward they dont need to portray on the big screen neither. show like, the first one at isle esme, and then show the first one as shes a vamp, and then like their "last" one... and you can show them kissing and whatnot sooo yeah.

thats what i think :P
