FAQ: Avatars

For some reason i can't get an avatar on my profile? Any suggestions? Maybe im doing this wrong? >.<

The easiest way to do it is to right click the avatar and save it. Then, when you edit your profile, go down to where it says "Upload avatar from your machine," hit browse, and find your picture. Then, at the bottom of the page hit submit. If it doesn't work this way than the picture is probably too big.

You can do it that way as Imprinted Image implied, or you may go to TinyPic.com and upload a avatar that you saved. Then, copy the "Direct Link for Layouts" Code and place that code on your edit profile section at the very bottom where it says "Link to Off-Site Avatar" xD

This way works the best for me because it doesn't deny you and say that 'the megapixels are too large.' Please make sure your avatars are 100x100 though.

There are lots of avatars on photobucket or you can upload your own to their site. You can copy the Direct Link from their site and paste it by Upload Avatar from a URL and it should work.

Yeah, I had some trouble with mine too because it was wayyyy too big so I just opened it in MS Paint and shrunk it and it worked.

I had a bit of trouble. I just had to find an avatar that was 6 KB or less.

If you upload it to photobucket or imageshack.us, you can link it (Advantage that there is no size limit)

Yes, that's the avatar, and try looking under twilight on photobucket. And it's not a stupid question. :)

alrighty, i have followed all of these steps:

picked out an avatar on photo bucket
shrinking it on tinypic.com
pasting under direct link for profile

never got to upload, something about the avatar not being able or something wrong..

am i doing this right, or did i do someting wrong?
