Be sure you know and follow the site rules.

Log on at least every other day and monitor the forums you are assigned.

Look for duplicate threads, inappropriate comments/replies, threads that are out of place and move, lock, or delete the thread.

Uphold a strict No Bashing and No Negativity policy.

There is also to be no gossiping and someone on the site, actors/actressess in the movie, or boyfriends/girlfriends.

Lead by example. Make sure you know how to properly start a new thread. Make sure your responses in the threads help to keep the thread moving and make a contribution.

Keep threads on topic. If a thread is off topic... go back to the last comment that was on topic, quote it, and make a positive contribution to the conversation in an attempt to bring it back on track.

Keep in touch with other moderators/administrators as to what work you accomplish while moderating on the site, members you have contacted/PMed about issues, etc.

Be available to help out when things get really busy (such as during the up coming Breaking Dawn Release).

Finally, when in doubt, be sure you are able to ask for help.
