i like rosalie to an extent.

but book 2 just made me hate her.

i complained all day when i read that bit!!

but it was really up 2 bella bcoz she was that one who wanted to nivolve rosalie bcoz she new that rose would help..

but still..

but Nessie is soooooo cute!!

i hated rose in book 2. she was the poisinous blonde. i wanted her dead.

but when i read on i noticed how rose was more than happy to be nessie's favorite aunt. she didn't try to steal her from bella or overshadow her one little bit.
so i re-read book 2. and i looked at what leah said and what stephenie meyer said in interviews. and i think i understand rose now.

she didn't want bella to die. she just thought that bella was fighting for the right cause.
to her dying for edward was stupid. dying for a baby was just right. so she would do just that. she helped bella fight for the baby because she knew that bella would want to put the baby first.

I kind of get what you're saying. But i still think that she didn't care if Bella died or not.

She was doing what Bella asked but she DID want to do it. And not to help Bella out. Just to save the baby.. to be able to have one to look after herself.. even if it meant Bella would die. In my opinion i really do think that's selfish.

i'm not sure about that. do you really think Esme would back Rose up if she was being selfish and cruel.
i mean even after nessie was born and bella was alive and well, Rose stayed the same. she still liked bella and she took on the role of "aunt rose" and she seemed perfectly happy with that.

I don't think that Esme saw what Rosalie was doing. Maybe. Maybe not.

It's just that Edward and Jacob did.

I don't know. I'm confused.

to be honest ive despised rosalie from book 1 and i was just disgusted by her [as much as i am with bloodsuckers] about how shallow she is just being there for bella JUST to get the baby in the end...

Just a clarification (but this is my opinion and realization, so...):

I was also disgusted at Rosalie in Book 2, that what she really wanted was the baby and didn't care for Bella's welfare. But trying to look back at it, the story was told in Jacob's perspective, who was by that time prejudiced against the vampires, plus he was stressed so much by Bella's situation that he couldn't reason well. Edward, who could read Rosalie's mind, was as much exhausted and stressed as Jacob was. Remember that Rosalie was deprived of the right and the ability to conceive, and she was, as how Leah had explained to Jacob, "living vicariously..." I'll have to give it to Leah for explaining things to Jacob.

Also, to those who might be thinking that Rosalie poisoned Bella's mind into keeping the baby: it was Bella who asked for Rosalie's help in the first place. When she realized that Edward and Carlisle were actually planning on killing Renesmee while still in Bella's womb, she immediately called Rosalie since she knew that Rosalie would listen to her and understand her.

i did get really mad at rosalie cuz she was saving Renesmee for all the wrong reasons, but she was helping bella even if it were for different reasons.

I think I probably would have like Rosalie a lot more in breaking dawn if book 2 was in Bella's pov. Seeing as it was in Jacob's though, I really and truly HATED her. But then again I'm probably a little predjudiced cuz I want what Edward and Jacob want. Not Rosalie and bella..

I don't believe what Rosalie did was wrong, but she did it for the wrong reasons and tried to keep Bella away from Nessie even after Edward said it was fine. So for that I can't stand her...I can't say I would want her to be on Edwards side cause I wasn't but seriously, she annoyed the hell out of me

Absolutely agreeing to this. I'm giving Rosalie the benefit of the doubt. Bella did call Rosalie and ask for her help because she knew Rose understands her.

In book two I felt frustrated too. But I think that kind of paid off because then Renesmee would never be born.
