Did anyone else want to kill Rosalie in book II? I was so siding with what Jacob and Edward were saying/thinking - she was so willing for harm to come to Bella for Renesmee's sake.

And then later she just took so much responsibility over Renesmee.. Grr. I got really angry. Especially when her and Jacob were reluctant to give Renesmee to Bella..

Anyone else?

I thought she was very selfish in book 2!
So yes, I do agree with you that i did want to kill rosalie. like, c'mon, she was very protective of the baby not for bella's health and everyone knew that she was only doing that for her benefit...

oi, i was so pissed at rosalie, renesmee is bella's baby, not hers! and I think she was pretty stupid to think that she would not survive the birth, of course they were going to change her!

At first i wanted to rip her hair out
but then i realized how much bella wanted the baby and rosalie helped even if it was for selffish reasons it all turned out well!<33

I kinda like how Rosalie and Renesmee have a bond, no matter what people are saying about how Rose doesn't care for Bella.

I have a love/hate realtionship
I love how Bella and Rosalie started to bond, but...
it seemed like Rosalie was doing it just for the baby to be alive.
Some parts it looked like Rose only cared for bella cus she wanted the bab to come out safe, and bella didn't matter.

i was so angry like i knew that if bella didn't make it through it really would not have mattered much to rose. as long as the baby was fine
and i mean come on!! did she not see how edward was being torn apart by it all?
thank god he was so persistent in changing her.

I actualy felt a lot of sympathy for Rose, I totally understand her position. Though, I probably wouldn't have done the same things she did. I would have taken Jacob's or Edward's side. But I'm glad Rosalie got at least a part of what she wanted. She gets to be Aunt Blondie!

At about 6:30am on Aug. 2nd, my friend and I decided to go for a Starbucks run, to take a little break and try to sort things out that we had read so far. We got into a little conversation about Rosalie and what we thought of her. We both thought immediately that her intentions were not bad. Obviously, it was an extremely dangerous pregnancy, and it was almost inevitable that Bella would die in the end. You have to consider that Bella wanted to have this baby, no matter what would happen to her in the end. So, in our opinions, Rosalie wanted to help Bella achieve this goal. Did Rosalie care as much for Bella’s safety than say Edward or Carlisle? Probably not. But, I do not think that she wanted her to die (when I say die, I mean before Edward was able to get the venom into her system).
You also have to take the perspective of Book II into consideration. Jacob is seeing Rosalie as the enemy, while if this part was in Bella’s perspective, she would be seeing Rosalie as the hero.

I agree with you, igetweak. Rosalie is helping Bella to protect something that is extremely important to her. Of course I can see why Jake would hate her for it, but I don't blame her at all. In this situation, she understands Bella better than he does, since she can empathize.

I was mad at Rosalie for sort of keeping the baby from Bella...it was Bella's baby. In a way, I felt kinda sorry for her. Rose wanted to have a normal life so bad, and she wanted to have a baby of her own...and she never got her chance to be a normal human being and start a family. Though the fact that she was always with the baby, when Bella wanted to be with Nessie did make me mad. I did understand why she did that, though.

I think that it has to be really hard for Rose, though, too.

She's already soooo jealous of Bella for her humanity and now Bella's got a baby, too.

I'd kind of hate Bella if I were Rose, maybe I wouldn't mind if she dies- as long as I got a kid out of the deal.

What Rose did was harsh, but I've got a little sympathy for her.

I LOVE Rosalie, but during book 2 I was furious. She was only caring for Bella because of the baby.
I know it was her dream to have a child, but to practically kill her "brother's" true love JUST to have a child (even if it's not hers) is so wrong.

But I still love her.
I just wish Bella was smarter and not so trusting with Rose.
