i liked it better than i thought it would be.
I borrowed the book from my friend and she said that it wasn't as good as twilight, so at first i didnt' expect highly of it HAHA

but i was wrong. I liked the book, and now i have a new respect for sci-fi LOL

I loved it! The Host shows what a vivid imagination Stephenie has, and is proof that she's got versatility in her writing. Some of you might call out, "Blasphemy!", but...

I kind of liked The Host a bit more than I liked Twilight. >.>

I loved it a lot. There were a few things that I noticed, and this may sound stupid, but just airing my thoughts. I noticed that the language is a lot simpler than in Twilight. You don't have the "big words" like "irrevocable" or "ostentatious" as much as you do in the Twilight Saga. Also, I noticed a lot of little things that reminded me of Twilight. Like during the more romantic scenes, the way Stephenie described the "caressing of the cheek" and "rough kissing". Of course, I fully understand that that is her personal style, which is why I read her books. :)

That was probably a really confusing paragraph, but whatever.

I loved the story line to death. The whole day yesterday I wanted to get back to reading it, and that night I probably stayed up till about three doing so. It's so sad though, to see someone struggle so hard for acceptance. I'm glad she got to have Ian, he was probably my favorite character. Melanie, truth be told, annoyed me sometimes. I just wanted to tell her, "Shut up! SHUT UP!" when she got mad at Wanda for wanting to be with Ian.

Okay, that's my opinion.

i thought it was pretty good. it's not the usual type of book i would read but i'm glad i did. it's a great story. i loved how wanda and melanie's friendship developed throughout the novel. at the end i was rooting with ian haha. i'm so glad it ended the way it did. :]
by the way, i agree with bellamari. ian was definitely my favorite character too. i loved the whole wanda/ian thing. they're perfect together.
