Yeah, that's how I feel too. Like, my HP obsession lasted longer, but that's just cause it's been around longer. But my Twilight obsession is soooo much more powerful.

I think it's the main character. Anyone with a brain should like Edward more then Harry!!

But.. yeah. I still haven't voted for this one. I really think it's silly at times to compare the two but.. what can you do?

^^ Yeah i find it extremley hard to compare them as there both 2 totally different types of books (the only thing they have in common is the whole fantasy genre and the fact that they are BOTH absolutley awesome.)

Yeah. I can't stand when people just choose one quickly and are like "BLAH the other one isn't NEARLY as good."

I especially hate it when that is followed with something like "I haven't read all of them but..."

Of course, since we're on Twilightteens, that only happens to HP. XD

Poor Harry Potter.

While I absolutely love both series, I have to say that I prefer Harry Potter. It's been something that I have adored for 8 years of my life, while Twilight is a rather new obsession.

I'm stubborn, once I'm devoted to something good luck undoing it. Harry potter was here first, and it pulls my heartstrings when people compare them . I have everysingle book in both series and when people ask me this question I want to say 'Harry potter of course, he was here first and hes awsome!!! Plus I'v been his fan longer' but truthfully and honestly. as much as I hate/love this I would have to say Twilight is my favorite. :"[ now I've made myself guilty.

It makes me feel really guilty as well with comparing the 2, all my cousins are asking me which one do you like better, and im like i honesty cant choose cause it is so hard

i have friends who have been devote hp fans there whole life and they say they r kinda dissapointed by the outcome of what rowling has produced. i read some of them and stopped when everyone started dying (seriously they all dropped like flies!!). I dont kno for sure but it seems rowling has sold out. what was the point of making dumbledore gay? maybe a ploy to keep in the media after her last hp is released, maybe a show of her gay rights support. idk. but what i do kno is i dont think SM will end up like that. in fact i highly doubt it. hp is a very good thing dont get me wrong, brought a generation of idiots back into reading and thank god for that, where would we be? it was a milestone in fantasy reading and literature. (but never will b as great as lord of the rings XD) the point im coming to is that im not particularly fond of hp for the reasons listed above. TWILIGHT FTW!!!!!!!!!

so, like most people i can't choose between them right off the top of my head. I can however rate them on the different aspects that they show. Like, Twilight is much better literature than HP. It's just better written. But HP just has this.... attraction. It's like a magnet and i'm the fridge. lol.

HP was just something that i grew up with and that actaully got me reding. It started in fifth grade... i was ten. My teacher made us read it so we could go on a field trip to watch the movie in December when it came out. and i loved it. My obsession with Harry Potter was ridiculous. I was like... just crazy.

Twilight on the other hand was introduced to me by my bff actually just about two months ago. She brought Twilight into school and was reading it during class. So i got interested, cuz i'd seen the book at the library but i was stupid and never picked it up cuz it reminded me of something like the giver (which was quite boring to me). So i didn't even bother with it, which i now regret. And even before she let me borrow the book i was already obsessed cuz she couldn't put it down and was telling me all these fascinating facts about it. But the obsession has been evolving.


So I guess they're just both really good. While HP will always be on my top 10, Twilight is better literature. And in my book, both literature and history hit the top.

ok...The Harry Potter books were the first books that actually got me reading..and proved that books can be interesting..if u just give them a chance..but then I read Twilight..and now no offence..but im like screw harry potter!Rock on Twilight!

harry potter series. humm, i guess you're gonna hate me when you read what i'm about to write, but.. well, i see flaws in Twilight. i like the books, duhh, that's why i'm here writing, but at least for me HP is so much better.
