What happens when a vampire gets cut or breaks skin or something?

In the books they always say that you have to cut the vampire and burn the pieces for them to be dead?

Do the vampires bleed some kind of blood?[/color] :?:

i don't think they have any blood left in them... hmm. i'm not sure about that one, it's hard!!

when they drink the blood floods their veins, so if you cut them just after theyve had a drink blood would come out, just not as much as a human

Q: Do the vampires have blood in their veins even though their heart no longer pumps? What would happen if they were cut or injured in some way?

A:If a vampire were cut, there would only be blood if he/she had freshly drunk blood (and drunk a lot). Otherwise, there would only be a bit of venom. It would be like cutting into granite.

Vampires have to get ripped into pieces and then burned. It's not cutting, it would be trying to cut through rock.

I think its kinda like humans eating...if we feed on say, a hot dog, that doesnt mean that when we get a cut we bleed a hot dog. They use up the blood like nutrients...?
