35/40 minutes by car. the only reason we actually go into D.C., though, is hockey games at the Verizon center.

Ahh I love the Verizon center. Every year I go to the Washington International Horse show there. It's amazing that that place is a riding ring one week, a basketball court the next, and an ice rink the week after that! I don't know how they manage it... :D

my dad told me once (he works in DC) that its the ice, and then they just put the different floors over it. my brother and dad went to a basketball game once, and they had to pause the game 'cause it got to warm, and the ice from below was seeping through! it got all wet, and they got mops out there. I think they put the AC on high after that..

yeah. especially when the game is on live TV. long commercial break...

I'll be moving to DC at the end of the summer to start grad school. I'm just hoping that I will have found a fellow Twilight fan by the time the movie comes out!! Otherwise I'll feel slightly dorky going alone. I totally plan on being first in line for the first showing. :)
