The whole 'banning Twilight from the school library' thing is something my school would TOTALLY do... if we had Twilight in the library to begin with.

Harry Potter was banned from the school for many years - it might be allowed now, but it was banned because of witchcraft.

(I go to a small Christian private school)

It stinks. But as far as I know, it is not banned, but it probably isn't very welcome at my school.

Why would a librarian from a CATHOLIC school use God's name in vain?

whoever thinks that is justified is completely insane!!! you could petition your library. but its not a problem since im good friends with the school librairian, and can get anyone to do almost anything i want them to. but if the petition ever reaches me, i swear i will sign!!!!

well i'm not too surprised, to tell the truth. whenever there is something as big as twilight, i will give harry potter as an example, people are going to say that it is against religion and the natural order of things. I gurantee that there could be a book about idk, totally hot plants or something, and sum ppl would have the same reaction.

did she really say god-damned, though? hmmm... sounds a bit hypocritical to me... btw, we should probably watch language on here. just a thought.

my thoughts on this? well duh its ridiucous. there are ridiculous ppl in the world, and we can't win against some ridiculous ppl, especially when it's about a FICTION book. that was the thing with harry potter. ITS FICTION. just because we like it and love it dusnt mean we believe its real. it means we WISH it was real, but believing something and wishing for it are two completely different things.

try the public library, though. encourage other ppl to do the same. make sure your librarian sees all the ppl reading twilight. maybe slip in a note about the GOOD effects twilight has had on your life and others into the suggestion box, anonymously of course. the more ppl the better. good luck!

I mean, its just a love story.

Thats one reason i hate explaining what Twilight is to ppl.
Bc if you say "A vampire love story", it turns most ppl off bc they just think its one of those lame love stories about a vampire and a human..
But Twilight is so much more than that.
Its on a whole new level.
It doesnt really revolve around the normal goings of a vampire book..
It truely is just a love story between a girl and a guy that normally shouldnt be togther but, love always finds a way.

I think its stupid that schools would ban Twilight.
