okay, so just when you thought high school was hell, suddenly things worse than what happened to you in HS started haunting you. this thread is dedicated to bad experiences we had in college, whether be it with friends or with professors. you name it.

so to start, i'll be the first to share:

i had my share of bad experiences in college too, and since i just finished my freshman year, i experienced fairly many bad stuff than i've ever imagined i would. one of those was just last semester, when my Design professor misplaced my plate without even grading it yet! i swore i nearly cried, 'coz without that plate, my grade would be zero, and with a zero grade, my overall grade would sink dramatically, which would make me fail! and what was worse was that it was a major subject! good thing though he found it stacked with the other class' plates. for a moment there, i thought it was forever gone, and that he would have me make one again. and i tell you, if ever he would make me make another as replacement of the first, i wouldn't hesitate to punch him straight in the face. it took me a whole month to finish that plate, robbing me of my Christmas vacation. :x

So... I had a roommate last year.

'Nuff said. :P

She's a sweet girl and all, but we had absolutely nothing to talk about :P. Even though we had the same major.

haha. well, i had a roomate too last year, and she was sweet too and very talkative, if only the chitchats she had been bombarding me with weren't lies :? so... there came a time when she must have realized that i knew she was lying, and so she completely ignored me for the whole semester, and left. :P then she was replaced by two other girls, one of which i got completely hooked to twilight, which we all ever talked about :P

I had a roomie who was moved in with me by the Rez Hall Director. I had a double room to myself for two years. My luck kind of ran out. She lied to me from the start about why she had to move out of her old room. This boy apparently that she accused of sexually molesting her ended up finding out where she had been moved to and came to our suite and messed it up really bad, ripping white boards off all the doors and throwing crap everywhere in a drunken rage because she lived there. The girl was just kinda creepy...told me I was gorgeous/hot on a daily bases. One time she even kissed me on my head while I was doing my hair and proclaimed I had a face like a baby angel. Hmmm...
It was quite awkward. She eventually was moved out.

*edit*
I could probably take up a page of this thread...I just thought of another one. My first roomie when I first got to college I got to walk in on doing the nasty, twice (once with some random guy she met at the dining hall about 2 minutes before hooking up with him). She dropped out after 2 weeks...the best part was 6 months later the guy she did it with showed up at my door asking for her. He had no clue she had left the previous semester.

What is it with roomies lying? Boo that. I wish people on my campus enjoyed Twilight, but my campus is pretty small. I only know of one other girl who likes twilight, and we aren't that close.

 remind me to get a single room next time :?

edit: yeah, she might as well tell the truth and not lie about all the "wonderful" stuff that has happened to her.

It's not my worst, but it's pretty hilarious. My friend and I were walking one night through campus and it was a weekend. Soooo... this group of guys was coming and one guy barked at us. Yes, barked. He was wayyy past drunk.

Now my worst.
My roommate and I last semester got along great in the beginning. And then we started fighting.. she wanted me to move out so she could have another girl with the same major as her move in saying how much easier it would be. But I learned that was a lie.

So we let it lay low for a few weeks and then she tried again, and again I said no. So she got pretty pissed off and then started threatening me, and we got residence services envolved. It wasn't pretty at all, and definitely ruined my first semester. But in the end she moved out and one of my best friends from school moved in with me.

Shes a twilight lover too, and life is great this semester!

Some people might just be plain crazy.
It's tough to live with a stranger, and trust them around your personal things, and have to hang out with them. I think this breeds all kinds of weird tendencies and craziness. That's my analysis. You know what's awesome? Living off campus. No Rez Directors telling you what to do, busting your parties, etc.

Rez Services forgot to lock my room when they were doing dorm sweeps last break. (They look to make sure you aren't there or whatever? And that your fridge is unplugged, etc.)
So, even though I locked it, they forgot to and 600$ worth of stuff got stolen. (XBox 360, 2 controllers, four games.) The best part is they won't give me any money for it, and told me that it was my fault for leaving something valuable there for an extended period of time.
Yeah, I'm going to stop filling this thread up because every time I come back I think of some awful experience to share.

I really wanted to go into Radiology and this place that I wanted to go to you had to interview to get into as well as shadow a Radiologist. Well, when I was at the hospital shadowing the director of the program came into the room, grabbed my arm and yelled "who are you and what are you doing here? You're not allowed in here!" and hardly gave me a chance to explain what I was there for. Then he said laughed and said "oh, another hopeful little girl..." and walked away.

I was accepted oddly enough but declined. Didn't want to put up with that jerk.

Wow. Makes me kind of glad that I didn't move on campus. But I still have problems with my family. I'm finishing my first year so the only bad experience is not really having friends.(I'm not sure if that would count as a bad experience but it was a bad experience for me) I hardly have time to socialize which is one of the disadvantages on not living on campus. It surprises me that I can remember certain people because I have class with them. I'm not a big talker in person but once I'm online, I can talk forever. Hopefully I'll make some "friends" next year, but the odds don't look so good.

good luck! i'm sure you would make some, if not close friends, at least good acquaintances, next year. yeah, being a freshman's kind of sucks too; you meet a whole new set of complete strangers, and you have to at least socialize, make acquaintances to make things easier the next time you would be needing their help. yeah, that's kind of using people, but it's how the system works. i too had a hard time socializing with strangers, considering that my social skills are very, erm, low, and it took me a very long time before i could talk to them without stammering or feeling awkward. in the end though, i found that they were really outgoing people and even found close friends in them. sigh, too bad though that i have to leave them and meet a new set of complete strangers again next year :?
