a few of my friends are quite obsessed
and must've told me a million times to read it
but when i heard the word "vampire" i was like NO I WILL NOT READ IT.
they didnt stop trying to persuade me.
i read some things about it and heard that it was a love story (and i love love stories)
so i was like ya know why not, i'll give it a shot.

and now i am in complete love with this book and beyond obsessed. :D

I was just bored and a bunch of my friends were reading it. And jokes and conversations kept coming up that i didn't understand. so i decided to just buy it. except i bought eclipse thinking that was the first book, but i was still addicted and read twilight and eclipse..i remember the night I bought twilight after eclipse i was with my non-twilighter friend and i was reading in the car on the way back from the mall lol...and the i got her to read....and the obsession started..and i understood the jokes lol.

what's wrong with the ppl of this generation?? NOBODY likes to read.. but they might be making the right choice (in some insane, psychotic way) by not becoming addicted to the full-fledged power of the dazzlement of edward Cullen..

Ack.

I love to read.

A little too much.

--Edit--

Okay, so as a guy, I have a question for you girls that thought at first "ew, it's about VAMPIRES?" Honestly, what's bad about that? What is repelling (or was) about vampires?

I know what you mean about the reading thing. I remember once at lunch, I was sitting with this girl who I used to be friends with, and I was reading a book and she said 'ew, why are you reading a book at lunch? you're such a loser' and she laughed at me. :< Reading rocks.

As for the the book, I always had an obsession with vampires, so I've never really understood what's wrong with them, well I do, but still.. it's the tomboy side of me! Lol. But I had read books like this before, humans and vampires falling in love with each other so I was just interested to read another book like it, nothing new, eh. =P

I'm not one of those girls. I was actually reading the books because of the vampires  but i have to agree with you. I don't know why people first thought it was a bad thing. It makes it more interesting.

I actually wanted to read it because of the vampires. I mean my friend told me about it she kept talking about Edward Cullen and how he is so beautiful and I was like who's Edward cullen? then she told me about it. So I bought it and now I'm hooked and fully addicted to it.

At my school there is one grade that is awesome, and I was in that grade when I FOUND TWILIGHT. At first I wasn't at all into the whole vampire thing AT ALL, and I had no interest in it at all, but then all of my friends and the teachers started reading it and talking about it, and finally one day i was just like " Okay what's this all about? Vamps? You like vamps THIS much?" So I read it in a couple of days, and I love everything about the vampires, Twilight, and was TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY OBSESSED!!!!!!! I'm know as the Twilight-obsessed-aholic-crazy-fanpire-girl to my friends. Like seriously, I'm known as the like Twilight girl! My walls are covered top to bottom in Twilight posters and quotes EVERYWHERE! That's all I ever talk about, and my family is so sick of hearing Twilight that they probably want to staple my mouth shut!:)
And then he slid the ring on the third finger of my left hand. Where it would stay- conceivably for the rest of eternity.

[quote]Hmm... I first noticed Twilight at a bookstore. Since i am a sucker for those angel-vampires-heavenly being-fantasy-etc stories (though i'm a picky) it grabbed my attention rite on. But i didn't buy it back then (coz i juz bought quite a few other novels). --> Huh imagining my lameness back then, how stupid was i..

But then after a year (was it? forgot..) the novel started to popped again, already translated in my native language at a local bookstore. I was like, "Dang! Didn't i want to buy that novel?!" So then i borrowed from a friend, got hooked, bought all 3 of 'em. Finished all juz rite b'fore Breaking Dawn. Hehe i'm a fast reader..

And the rest is history.. I am now officially addicted and obsessed wit Twilight series!! I am Stephenie Meyer's slave.... :D

I thought it was going to be really good because it was about vampires. I loved vampires before Twilight, and I love reading. So it was all good. I'm just glad that I did decide to read it, I mean, come on! The first sentence got me hooked, honestly.
